
Miró Van Der Vloed

Born in Pretoria in 1998, Miró has spent time between Durban, Pretoria, Cape Town and the Free State.
In 2020, they completed a BaFa (with distinction) from Michaelis school of Fine Arts (University of Cape Town) with a focus on printmaking and sculpture. In February of 2021 he participated in the art for global regeneration auction that raised funds for climate parks in South Africa and the United States.
He participated in a group show entitled Resite at the Johann van Heerden Gallery in June.
In August Miró participated in Thread(ed), a group exhibition held at the association of arts Pretoria.
In November he won a merit award for work entered in the New Breed Art Competition.
In 2022 he took part in Somewhere Over The Rainbow, an exhibition run through the Teresa Lizamore gallery, an LGBTQIA+ group show that celebrated queer people in Africa.
He graduated with their master’s in fine art at the University of Cape Town in 2025.
